Sometimes known as Asia’s Auschwitz, Tuol Sleng is a former high school in Phnom Penh where about 14,000 Cambodians were brutally tortured by the Khmer Rouge between 1975 and 1979. Only six prisoners survived. In March 2007, I visited Tuol Sleng with students from Li Po Chun United World College.
