I've been fortunate to have visited Yangon, Myanmar (formerly Rangoon, Burma) eight times. Three of those visits were in the 1980s, and the last visit was in early March 2020, just before the coronavirus pandemic shut down international travel. Here are some pairs of my photos, one taken in the 1980s and one in early 2020. Their locations are not precise matches, partly because I didn't take the old photos with me on the 2020 trip to line them up, and partly because several places where I stood in the 1980s aren't there any more.
