Today’s drive took us from Plockton to the Isle of Skye. We crossed to the Isle of Skye using the Skye Bridge near Kyle of Lochalsh (which didn’t exist at the time of our previous visit in 1987). Once on the Isle of Skye, we proceeded through Kylerhea and Sligachan to Neist Point, where we enjoyed a breezy clifftop walk to admire the cliffs and lighthouse. We then took a drive east and then north to two small but very picturesque villages - Stein and Trumpan - before heading to our accommodation, a B&B in the Isle of Skye’s largest settlement, Portree. After checking into our accommodation, we took a much-needed evening walk into the town of Portree and back again.
