Scotland and Faroe Islands Travel Diary 2023

Today’s fairly long drive took us through a variety of pretty scenery, a mix of mountains and lochs.  After a brief roadside stop to admire Castle Stalker, we proceeded to Oban.  Following a drive through the quiet congested town, we took time to explore the ruins of Dunstaffnage Castle and its associated chapel on the outskirts of Oban.  We made another roadside stop with a short walk to see the very picturesque Kilchurn Castle before proceeding to a longer stop and walk around the pretty town of Inveraray.  Finding our accommodation, a B&B on the outskirts of the tiny hamlet of Fintry, was something of a challenge even with Google Maps but we did manage to do so.  An evening walk along the rural lanes of Fintry to admire the rolling hills and sheep paddocks completed a good day of travelling.
